It is packed from seed to skin with nutrients and age-defying antioxidants: In just the arils (the soft, deep red membranes surrounding the seeds) you can find lots of carotenoids, vitamins, polyunsaturated fats, protein, polyphenol compounds and flavonoids.

It also has 70 times more lycopene than tomatoes, 10 times more beta-carotene and 40 times more zeaxanthin than yellow corn, along with exceptionally high levels of vitamins C and E, that are vital not just to the eyes and skin but to overall good health.
